The coronavirus pandemic COVID-19 has created havoc globally. At this point, there is no known cure and the death rate is high. This paper reviews the risks of the spread of the virus, symptoms, incubation, pathophysiology, the process of infection, and the immune effects of the virus. By better understanding of the COVID-19 tissue targets, immune effects and process of infection, some targeted therapeutic strategies are discussed, as well as a proposed use of pulsed electromagnetic fields (PEMFs) to help at various points through the full scope of the infection, from incubation to replication, viremia, pneumonia and through recovery.
